Espresso on the Cheap

I noticed a Reblog link on this site. I’m just curious to know what it does.

TINY KITCHEN COFFEE

With a fair amount of unroasted beans specifically marked for use in making espresso on hand, I decided to roast some up over this long, holiday weekend. I was a bit nervous at first as I have never done a roast for use in making espresso before, but decided to give it a shot anyway. After all, that’s the best way to learn with coffee. I roasted a French/Italian blend from Coffee Bean Direct and it came out better than expected. From what I’ve read, roasting beans that are used in making espresso can be particularly finicky, so I was a bit worried at the outset. I ended up getting a nice light roast on the coffee (note – it’s a common misconception that espresso is a type of roast, i.e. dark, rather than a type of drink).

Brewing espresso is perhaps just as, if not more challenging that roasting…
